Santa Rosa Valley

SOAR has been a strong protector of the rural atmosphere in Santa Rosa Valley by restricting the conversion of the larger Agricultural and Open Space lots into smaller parcels which can be developed into denser housing. Thus the quality of life has remained very much the same since the introduction of the countywide SOAR initiative in the 1990s. With the successful renewal of SOAR to 2050, SOAR will continue to help residents here maintain the existing balance of farming and rural residential landscapes.
